It’s another coffee mug giveaway day.  It’s your last chance to get one of these gems during this giveaway.  Today we will be giving away another Crappydoodles mug!  It’s how I feel every morning before I get my caffeine in me, for sure.  I need to sneak one of these out of Denise’s house.  Someone distract her on Twitter while I slip out the front door.  😉  Today I want to share a fun and yummy coffee mug recipe that I like to make with my girls.  It is perfect for a chocolate fix when needed.  We like to add chocolate chips or even Reece’s chips:    Chocolate Cake in a Mug

Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a microwave safe MUG:
  • Add dry ingredients to mug, mix well with a fork.
  • Add egg, mix thoroughly.
  • Pour in milk and oil and vanilla, mix well.
  • Add chips, if using.
  • Put mug in microwave, and cook for three minutes on 1000 watts.
  • Cake will rise over top of mug–do not be alarmed!
  • Allow to cool a little; tip onto a plate if desired.
Click on the name of the recipe to go to the site where I got the recipe from and read the comments.  There are some good suggestions there.
So my question of the day is what do you use a coffee mug for, besides drinking?  You have until Midnight, Monday the 25th to comment.

  1. hot cereal……… oatmeal, cream of wheat, malt o meal or soup lol anything I can slurp lmao

  2. I use a coffee mug for coffee and tea, obviously … also soups, holding dandylions that my son picks for me, Easter Egg dye when we dye eggs, holding pencils/pens etc.

I don’t drink out of them. I usually use them to remember times in my life. I have some Mom ones from when my kids were little, some vacations, and I still have the one my favorite high school teacher sent me when I embarked on my own teaching career. Although, cake in a cup sounds very good!

you can make scrambled eggs or “omelet in a mug”. Scramble eggs, mix in a little cheese or what have you-microwave a couple of minutes and you’re good!

  6. Paola Bell says:

Coffee, tea, ice cream, and a paint brush rinser for when the kids are painting.

  7. Coffee 1st and foremost…cereal, soup, ice cream…yup that’s about it!

Eggs in a mug. Just scramble an egg in a mug & cook for 1 minute in the microwave & you have breakfast! You can add cheese, veggies, salsa…whatever you like on your “omelet”

Nothing but drinks so far, though making a cake in one sounds super easy and yummy!

  13. Carie Lewis says:
